Founder Duo
Privacy Policy
29 September 2026
This policy explains what Founder Duo collects through founderduo.com and the Founder Duo app, and what we do with it. The Terms of Service explain the rules for using the product.
The website
The website is a set of pages. It has no account, no form, and no advertising or analytics cookies set by us. Our host may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser, and the time of a request, to run and protect the site.
The account
When you create an account we store:
- Your email address.
- A sign-in through Apple or Google, if you use one. We receive the identity those services confirm. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
- A password, if you use email sign-in. It is stored by our authentication provider in a form that is not the password itself.
Your profile
What you choose to add can include:
- Name, headline, and about text.
- A country and city you type. We do not take your precise location from the device.
- Whether you are an individual or a startup, your stage, and the one craft you pick.
- Experience, education, and work you list.
- A LinkedIn address, if you add one.
- A profile photo from your camera or photo library, if you allow that access.
If you import a CV, we process the file to suggest profile fields. Use it only for a CV you are allowed to share.
Matching and messages
We store likes, passes, the teams you belong to, and the messages in those teams. Other users see your profile when the product shows it to them. People on a team with you can read that team’s chat. A like is used to apply the matching rules. It is not a public post.
Passes expire after 30 days and can then allow that profile to appear again.
Safety
If you block someone, you are hidden from each other. If you report someone, we store the report so we can review it. Reports are not shown to the person you report.
Notifications and product use
If you allow notifications, we store a push token so Apple or Google can deliver them. You can turn notifications off in the device settings.
We record product events tied to your account, such as screens you open, whether you finished onboarding, and whether a purchase succeeded or was restored. We use that to run and improve the app. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Apple, Google, and their billing partner RevenueCat. They handle the payment. We receive whether a subscription is active, and related purchase status. We do not receive your full card number.
Who else sees information
- Other users, to the extent the product shows a profile or a team chat.
- Supabase, which hosts the database, authentication, and file storage.
- Apple and Google, for sign-in, push notifications, and store billing.
- RevenueCat, for subscription status.
- A public authority, if the law requires it, or if we need to investigate abuse, fraud, or a threat to someone’s safety.
We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep account and profile information while the account exists. Deleting the account in the app removes the profile, likes, teams, and messages. We may keep a report, or a record we are legally required to keep, after that. Store billing records stay with Apple or Google. Cancelling or deleting the app account does not by itself cancel a subscription.
Your choices
- Edit or remove profile details in the app.
- Block or report another user.
- Turn off notifications on the device.
- Cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account.
- Delete the account in the app.
If the law where you live gives you the right to access, correct, export, or delete your information, or to object to a use of it, write to us and we will respond. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Founder Duo is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Where information is processed
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. We use them to run the account, the matching, the files, and the subscriptions.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date.
