Terms of Service

These terms cover the Founder Duo website at founderduo.com and the Founder Duo app on the App Store and Google Play. By using either, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

The service

Founder Duo helps individuals and existing startups find co-founders and founding teammates. You show one craft, you can like people and recruiting teams, and a team chat opens when a match is real. Two people who like each other start a team. Someone new joins a team only when every current member has liked them and they have liked the team.

A match is an introduction between users. It is not a job, an investment, a partnership agreement, or a promise that a company will form. Any deal you make with another user, including equity, pay, or responsibilities, is between you and them.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18. You need an account to use the app. You may have one account, and the information on it must be yours and accurate.

Your account

You can sign up with email and a password, or with Apple or Google where those options are offered. You are responsible for the activity on your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using it.

What you post

You keep ownership of your profile, photo, experience, work, messages, and any CV you import. You give Founder Duo permission to host that material and show it to other users as the product works: your profile in discovery, your messages inside a team you belong to, and the fact of a like when the matching rules require it.

You confirm that you have the right to post what you upload, and that it does not infringe someone else’s rights.

How you must behave

Do not:

• Harass, threaten, or scam anyone.
• Impersonate another person or invent a company, role, or history.
• Post illegal content, or content you do not have the right to share.
• Spam, scrape, or try to break, overload, or reverse engineer the service.
• Use the app to collect people for a purpose the product is not built for, including raising money from strangers or recruiting advisors.

You can block or report another user in the app. We may remove content, end a session, or close an account that breaks these terms. We do not have to explain every moderation decision.

Premium

Founder Duo Premium, when offered, is an auto-renewing subscription sold by Apple or Google, not by this website. The store charges your account when you confirm, and it renews until you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account. Deleting your Founder Duo account does not cancel the subscription.

The service can change

We can change, pause, or stop features. The app and website are provided as they are. We do not guarantee that you will find a co-founder, that another user is truthful, or that the service will be available without interruption.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Founder Duo is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for what other users say or do. Nothing in these terms removes liability that the law does not allow us to remove, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending your use

You can delete your account in the app. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections that should survive, including ownership of your content, acceptable use, and liability, still apply after the account ends.

Law that applies

These terms are the agreement for the service. If a consumer law where you live gives you rights these terms cannot take away, those rights still apply.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version on this page and update the date. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
